DEFINITION of a MAN
A
father can build or break,
A
father can be real or a father can fake,
No
father on earth can achieve perfection.
But
a good father should give his all to make a connection,
A
wise man sees his child as an individual not a breathing reflection,
A
compassionate father should embrace hopes and dreams,
To
provide the shoulder on which his weary daughter leans,
And
to ask the questioning son what he thinks
it means,
Every-man
I desperately urge you,
Don’t
pray for them to grow up and it all to be through,
Because
you’ll be haunted by ghosts if you do,
Don’t
spend precious time droning on how they should do as they are told,
Instead
sit at their bedside and listen to the stories as their lives unfold,
And
perhaps they’ll do the same for you someday when you are old
