Bella and the Laughing Boy
Bella
and the Laughing Boy
Bella played toy to
the laughing boy,
Through the eons and
the light years,
She whispered her
precious melodies into his deaf ears,
She could not see
past the beauty of his spirited face,
She used his broken
promises to fill the empty space,
Bella gazed longingly
into laughing boy’s blind eyes,
Falling asleep to the
sound of a symphony of lies,
Than on redemption’s
morning Bella saw a bird fall dead from the sky,
And lonely, little
Bella fell on her knees to cry,
The laughing boy saw
her crumble but never did ask why,
For he was busy
laughing and did not wish to try,
Bella packed her bags
and built a new dream fast,
Because everyone
knows a one-sided love is never meant to last
